Lawyer graduated from the Escuela Libre de Derecho in 1990, specializing in “litigation in civil and commercial law”.

He has been dedicated to the area of dispute resolution for more than 30 years, with experience in arbitration, receiverships, bankruptcy, bankruptcy proceedings, corporate restructuring processes, civil and commercial litigation.

He has represented national and international companies in matters related to breach of contract, civil liability, restructurings and international sales and purchases.

He has advised insurance companies, banking institutions and surety companies.

He has advised and represented insurance brokerage firms in claims before local and federal courts.

Has represented fiduciary institutions in various proceedings, mainly civil and mercantile under civil liability claims.

He has represented domestic and foreign companies in restructuring proceedings and in bankruptcy proceedings.

He has represented national and international companies before federal and local courts.

Participated representing the main bank creditor in the restructuring procedure of three Mexican airlines, and participated, together with the Ministry of Communications and Transportation, in the process of creating the trust fund for the capitalization of the debts of an international aircraft workshop for the benefit of more than 3,000 workers.

He has participated in cross-border bankruptcy proceedings under the UNCITRAL Model Law, both before courts in the United States of America and Mexico.

Postgraduate studies: “Curso de Especialización Judicial en Amparo” of the Poder Judicial de la Federación de la Suprema Corte de Justicia de la Nación.

Master’s Degree in Law from the Centro de Estudios de Posgrado en Derecho.

He was Professor of “Bankruptcy and Suspension of Payments” at Universidad Anahuac, Plantel Sur, from 1992 to 1996.

Since 2005 to date, he has been the head of the “Chair of Commercial Insolvency” in the eighth semester of the Law School at the Universidad Iberoamericana, in Mexico City

Founding member of the Ibero-American Institute of Insolvency Law, established in the city of Barranquilla, Colombia, of which he is currently a member of the Board of Directors and Vice President of the Mexican Chapter.

Member of the Instituto de la Empresa of the National Academy of Law and Social Sciences of the City of Córdoba, Argentina since 2007.

He has been a member of several Boards of Directors of companies listed on the Mexican Stock Exchange, where he was a member of the Acquisitions Committee, the Nominations and Compensation Committee and the Corporate Practices Committee.

He has participated as a lecturer in several international seminars and congresses on procedural law, civil law, commercial law and human rights, held in Argentina, Brazil, Chile, China, Colombia, Italy, Spain, the United States, Mexico, Peru and Uruguay.

He has written several essays such as “El Régimen de la Separación de Bienes a la luz de la Jurisprudencia de la Suprema Corte de Justicia de la Nación”, published in Fortune magazine in November 2004; “El Amparo a Terapia Intensiva”, also published in Fortune magazine in August 2005.

Member of the Mexican Bar Association, where since 2019 he is part of the Board of Directors.

Member of INSOL INTERNATIONAL where he is part of the Latin American Committee.

Member of the “Ilustre y Nacional Colegio de Abogados de México”.
